NY!!! 2nd day MoMA

2nd day in NY

We went to MoMA.

The sign of "not to eat"is "apple".

Humhum...

'causeNY is called "Big apple".LOL

This term's exhibition is

Sanja Ivekovic is.....

Croat feminism artist,

and

who is pioneer of 

video performance and photo collage.

Rosa of Luxemburg is.....

installation which represents the resistance and spirits 

to get independence

 of  Luxembourgers.

It is made as a re-creation of monument

which is constructed in memory of victims in World War Ⅰ.

so please appriciate them 

thinking of strong women's spirit.

The red crumpled papers 

placed randomly on the floor 

are letters

which  are written her feminism messege

to each of her works.

She appropriate advetising for sunglasses

in an effort to tackle 

the issue of violence against women.

NY旅行は弾丸だったので

museumも流す感じで見てしまったので・・・

後にnetで調べてから

彼女がどういうartistで

どういうmessageを作品に込めているのか

ということを知りました。

museumで実際観賞している時は

彼女の作品は

「美しくてユーモラスな写真と

collageだなあ」

という感じで見ていたのですが、

もっとじっくり見ると

"feminism"のmessageが随所に見てとれますよね。

もっとじっくり見てそういうspiritを

生で感じ取ってくるべきだったと後悔しました；（

また彼女は

作品のmodelそのものがfocusされること

作品をよりinteractiveなものにすること

を重視しているそうで、

"Woman's house"では

他のexhibitionで展示されていた時は

対象としたviolenceのvictimとなっていた

女性たちのmessageとともに

石膏でとった型も一緒に置いていたそうです。

（今回は見なかった気が・・・）

無秩序に置かれた赤い紙は

作品に込めたmessageを書いていても

こういう風にしわくちゃにされると

ただの”ゴミ”となってしまうということ、

つまりはどんなに思いを伝えようとしても

取り上げてくれなかったり、

一瞬で情報が出ては消えてしまうような

mediaに対する批判のようにも思えます。

実際会場でも簡単に蹴飛ばすことはあっても

手に取って開こうとする人はまずいない。

今再考してみると、

interactiveな展示をしつつ

我々に強く何かを訴えようとする

彼女のmessageの結晶だったような気がします。

そのvirusがどんどん増殖していってしまうことと

それに対する無力さを

この無数のcandyによって表現しているそうです。

どうやらこのcandy

手に取って食べちゃっても

良かったみたい・・・！？
